Our story
More than coffee — it's Morabeza.
The name
Morabeza is a Cape Verdean Creole word, and it does not translate cleanly into English. The closest anyone gets is the art of welcome — a warmth so complete that a stranger leaves feeling like family. It is the reason the café is called what it is called, and it is printed on the boards for anyone who wants to know what they have walked into.

The coffee
An expresso pulled short and hot. A galão in the morning, a flat white in the afternoon, a mocha when it is cold outside. Every one of them served in the black Morabeza cup — because how a coffee arrives is part of the coffee.
From our roots to your cups
The food
On one side of the board: the Full English, the bacon bap, beans on toast, an omelette built however you want it. On the other: meia tosta with butter, ham and cheese toasties, a pastel de nata, bolo de chocolate, bolo cenoura, moka bolo bolacha, and pudim. Leeds and Portugal, ordered from the same till.
